Odell Florence, 82 passed away December 5, 2011. A native of Georgia, he had lived in the Jacksonville area for 68 years and the last five years in Patrick, South Carolina. He was married to the late Hazel Lee Lewis Florence. He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Richard) Florence Smith, Patrick, SC; son, Duane (Vicky) Florence, Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Jessica Leigh Smith of Patrick, SC and Kylie Michelle Florence of Jacksonville, Fla.; nieces, Patricia (James) Florence Tyler and Pam (Eddie) Florence Floyd; nephew Terry (Teresa) Florence; great nieces and great nephews all of Jacksonville, Fla. And his loveable pal, "Buddy". Odell was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired painting contractor. The family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and a funeral service on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 12:00pm.
