Pamela Joy Snyder, age 75, daughter of Christopher Pentecost and Sylvia Jarvinen Pentecost, who was born, February 7, 1942, in Belleville, New Jersey, passed away September 21, 2017, at her home in the care of her family in Jacksonville, Florida.

Pam was best known for her quick smile and contagious laugh. She loved travel, romance novels and action movies. In her early career, she worked in various secretarial jobs before becoming a devoted and loving mother. Upon her return to work, she was a Dispatcher for Duval County Sheriff's office then became a licensed Insurance Salesman. Her pursuit of challenge in the workplace led her to work for a temporary employment agency, assisting others in finding employment where her dedication and effectiveness promoted her to Office Manager of the firm's Technical Division. Health problems forced her to stop work for a few years. Her last decade of employment was her most enjoyable - she worked for the St. Johns Bar Pilots Association as their Billing Clerk until retirement a couple of years ago.

Pamela was preceded in death by her father Christopher Pentecost and sister Susan Pentecost Pisano.

She is survived by her mother Sylvia Pentecost, former husband Barrie Snyder, daughter Glenda Snyder Heijnen, son Barrie Snyder, Jr, and grandchildren: Sylvia, Ashlan, Rebecca, Kirsten and Barrie III.

A celebration of her life Memorial Service will take place at 10am, Monday October 2nd, 2017 in Fort Caroline Untied Methodist Church 8510 Fort Caroline Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32277 with Rev. Eddie Soto officiating.
