Patricia Powell 89, was born on September 30, 1934, in Washington, DC, and moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1955. Pat went to Heaven on June 26, 2024, and met her Lord.

Pat was the daughter of Irish immigrants who began her career by working at the Pentagon when she was 17 years old. Pat had a career as a claims examiner for the Federal Government that lasted 30 years. While working full time, Pat volunteered at Christ the King Catholic Church, running their Religious Article Store in order to send her children to Catholic School. Pat spent her life loving The Lord and reaching out in love and generosity to those around her.

Pat is predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Frank, her son Michael and her daughters Christina and Kim, and granddaughter Nicole Pharis. She is survived by her children Karon McGarva, Barbara Melcolm (Bobby), Nancy Bundy (Billy), and Frank Powell Jr. (Tessa). Pat is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, for a vigil service, where eulogies can be presented. That will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lonestar Road. At 11:00am on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, a funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Road, with a reception to follow afterwards. At 2:00pm, a graveside service will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home following the reception.
