Patsy Strother Smith of Fleming Island, Florida passed away at the age of 94, on August 26, 2025.

Born on September 12, 1930 in Tuolumne, California to parents Riley and Mizell Strother. Patsy was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1947. She married the love of her life Fred Smith on May 28th, 1955. Patsy and Fred had two children, Julie Smith Frey and Rebecca Carol Smith. Patsy retired from a Trucking Company as a Bookkeeper. Her Christian faith was an important part of Patsy's life. She enjoyed Sunday Worship and her Bible Study Group where she was a member of Mill Cove Church and Ft. Caroline Methodist Church for 57 years. Family was a big part of Patsy's life. She enjoyed spending treasured times with family and friends.

She is survived by her two children: Julie Frey (and husband Mark), Rebecca Smith. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: James Coker, Robert Moore, Kara Peppers, Shaun Moore and Kelly Banks, 13 great-grandchildren, her brother Charles Strother, and many nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Smith, parents Riley & Mizell Strother, Brothers Gary, Lee, Doug and Riley Strother.
