Obituary of Paul Goodwin

Remembering Rev. Paul Neal Goodwin, Jr.

Rev. Goodwin was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. He served in the United States Marine Corps and later accepted a position as Manager in a Pharmacy Company which sent to Gary, Indiana. There, he began attending the Gary Gospel Tabernacle where he accepted the Lord as his Savior and also met and married his wife, Daisy. They felt called to the ministry and attended and graduated from Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri. In his ministry career, Rev. Goodwin received his ordination from the Assemblies of God and was appointed as a missionary to Jamaica to be the Pastor of Faith Temple in Montgeo Bay, which is now one of the largest churches on the Island. He and Daisy became the first instructors at the Bible School in Chapelton. Upon their return to the United States, Rev. Goodwin accepted the Pastorate of Calvary Temple in Jacksonville, Florida, and became a well-respected godly statesman and teacher in a number of churches and a mentor to many people in the area. Later, he joined Every Home For Christ, an international evangelism organization, serving as an Interim International President, a Worldwide Ambassador and a member of the Board of Directors. He and Daisy travelled extensively all over the world on its behalf conducting telecasts, ministering to its staff and teaching on evangelism and prayer. He continued ministering in his wonderful mentoring gift until he became incapacitated just recently. Rev. Goodwin is survived by his wife, Daisy; two children, Glenn Goodwin and Deborah Koch; three grandchildren, Natalie and Matthew Goodwin and Steffan Koch; a brother, Glenn Goodwin and sisters, Jean Armstrong, Linda Willfong and Sherrie, as well as many others in his extended close-knit family. All who knew him loved and revered him. His Lord and Master, whom Rev. Goodwin served faithfully and lovingly among us, now says to him,"Well done, good and faithful servant. Let's celebrate together (forever!)" Matthew 25:21 NLT
