Pauline Byrum Lewis entered into Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday evening, November 19, 2016. She was born December 28, 1925 in Cornell, Illinois.

Pauline graduated from Saunemin High School, and worked for State Farm Insurance after graduation for 17 years, first in Illinois, then transferring to Jacksonville, Florida. She met and married Vernon Lewis, the love of her life, in 1959.

Pauline was a wonderful, full time mother and homemaker after her marriage to Vernon. She enjoyed bowling, and was on two leagues for 35 years. She also loved spending time outside and working in her yard.

Pauline was a dedicated and faithful member of Arlington Christian Church for over 50 years. She served as a Deaconess, preparing communion, and was on several committees over the years.

She is predeceased in death by her husband, Vernon Monroe Lewis, her parents, Hazel Isenberg Byrum and Elbert B. Byrum, her brothers Clyde Byrum and Gerald Byrum, and her sister Ora Jean Williams.

Her loving survivors include her daughters Sherri Lewis-Seals (Norman) and Tracy Lewis, her grandsons Dustin Coates and Bradley Coates (Ryan), her great-grandson, Luke Joseph Coates, her nieces and nephews, extended family in Illinois and North Carolina, Adele Court Family, Church Family, and many friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 22, from to 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road.

Funeral Services will be held at Arlington Christian Church, 8075 Lone Star Road on Wednesday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
