IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Perry Norris
Arnett Sr.
September 2, 1948 – February 1, 2022
Perry Norris Arnett Sr. joined our Savior on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 after battling several health conditions for three long years. His fight was strong and his family and friends will miss him beyond measure.
Perry was born on September 2, 1948 in Talladega, AL. He is preceded in death by his mother Lucille Matson Lay, his father Earnest Arnett, his twin brother Jerry Arnett, and his half-brother Carlton Lay. Perry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Martha Arnett, and his two sons Perry "PJ" Arnett (Nicole) and Terry Arnett (Jill). Perry is also survived by his eight adoring grandchildren Caitlyn, Matthew, Brooke (Brandon), Linsey, Kelsey, Gracie, Amber, and Cooper. If you knew Perry, you knew that nothing mattered more to him than his family.
Perry worked as a supervisor for the City of Jacksonville for nearly 36 years and became fast friends with all of his colleagues and acquaintances. He also enjoyed many years of owning and operating a catering business where for over 20 years he had a booth in the Jacksonville Fair. He met so many friends through his love of cooking over those years and he touched many lives with the innumerable charitable meals he made. He was a blessing to everyone and nobody left hungry. Perry also enjoyed several years of volunteer work for the fire department in St. Augustine, FL, and while his sons were young, he touched the lives of numerous young men as a coach for countless little league baseball teams. Perry was a public servant and can be remembered as a selfless, giving, loyal, and dependable man. Perry's memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
