Phil loved his music and this song was at the top of his list of favorites. He was the best DJ ever as some of his friends would say. He would play anything and everything from A – Z. It didn't matter if it was country, rock and roll, heavy metal, or the blues. Playing his guitar and singing along with songs was one of his favorite and memorable things to do. He could have been a star someday.
He loved being outdoors grilling, fishing, riding on his motorcycle with his wife Rhonda, or having a pool party for friends and family. He was an amazing cook - the best chicken wings and hamburgers you ever tasted.
He was an avid NASCAR fan. His fondest memories of childhood were being in the infield at The Monster Mile. He loved his Philadelphia Eagles and The Florida Gators. Watching the Eagles win the 2018 Super Bowl was a dream come true.
He was quick to laugh and always make you laugh. He could turn a bad day into a good one. He was a therapist to many and it didn't cost you a dime.
Phil served his Country in the United States Army from 1982 – 1985. He spent eighteen months transporting missiles in the mountains of Germany and returned to the United States to Fort Knox, KY to the 13th Engineering unit. He had the privilege of honoring many veterans at their final resting place. He was proud of that time in his life. It was his duty and his honor.
Transporting heavy equipment, forklifts, and any other material handling equipment was his work life. He would talk to anyone who would listen about what he got to transport that day. That wasn't a job to him. He was like a big boy who got to play with big toys every day and he got paid to do it.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda of 28 years and the family cats. His mother and father, Janet and Charles "Charlie" McVey. His sister Denise and husband Tony. Mother-in-law and father-in-law Lyda and Richard Littleton. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Rolinda and Don. Sister-in-law Debbie. Three nieces, 4 nephews, 2 grandnephews and 1 grandniece. Aunts, uncles and cousins. And many, many friends.
Although God had plans for Phil to join him so young in life, Phil lived every day to the fullest and as he always said "I have no regrets". Rest in peace Phil.
