Obituary of Philopena Vullo
Philopena Littia Vullo, 99, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2007, She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. She was born on April 21, 1908 in Rochester, New York to the late Louis and Mary Maira.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Samuel Vullo of 50 wonderful years.
Philopena was a member of the Woodland Acres Senior Citicen Center for 30 years. She also belonged to the Kings and Queens of Christ the King Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son Paul C. (Ellen) Vullo of San Dimas, CA; daughter Jean (Donald) Maroney of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Paula (Roger) Caudill, Samuel (Christine) Vullo, Paul Vullo, Michael (Patricia) Maroney, Kenneth (Cynthia) Maroney and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home for a visitation on Friday October 26, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. and a funeral service on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 N Arlington Road at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 N St. Johns Bluff Road. Jacksonville.
