Obituary of Phyllis Dean

Mrs. Phyllis Jean Dean, 87, entered into rest peacefully on July 6, 2011. She is remembered as a loving wife, adoring mother, and doting grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 63 wonderful years, Cecil Dean; children, Gary (Jeri) Dean, Carol (Jimmy) Hatcher, and Nancy (Terry) Cotter; grandchildren, Alan, Erin, and Matt Dean, Hunter and Lauren Hatcher, and Michael and Amanda Cotter; great grandchild, Jonathan Riddle; brother Neal F. Jerome, Jr.; and many trusted friends.. Phyllis has been a long time member and very involved with her church, Arlington United Methodist. She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting and arts and crafts. Family will receive friends TODAY, July 8, 2011 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road from 6-8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on July 9, 2011 at Arlington United Methodist Church, 1400 University Boulevard North, Jacksonville, Florida with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to Arlington United Methodist Church at the address listed above.
