Obituary of Ralph Whatley
Ralph Edward Whatley, age 55, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Jacksonville, FL, January 7, 2016.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, March 11, 1960 to William J and Ruth M. (Wynn) Whatley, both of whom preceded him in death. He joins sister Carolyn Flynn and brother Robert Whatley in heaven. He is survived by 2 sisters Joyce Bunting and Mary Bryant (Ken), 2 brothers Fred Whatley (Cathy) and Gene Whatley, Aunt, Bessie Wynn Stovall (Dee Dee) as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ralph attended Terry Parker High School and served honorably in the United States Naval Reserve. He was an active member of St Paul United Methodist Church and a member of the Good News Sunday school class. He was also a member of the NF Emmaus. He was a carpenter by trade and had been on many mission trips with UM Church. He enjoyed sports, dancing and gardening.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, January 14th, 11:00 AM at St Paul United Methodist Church, 8264 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, and Fl. A reception will follow the celebration of Life. .
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Paul Methodist Church.
