Obituary of Raymond Moore

Raymond D. Moore, 72, recently of Morristown, TN, previously a longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL went Home to glory on August 1, 2007. He is now with his Savior and beloved wife.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Sue Moore; his parents Herbert and Vina Moore; a brother Herbert Moore, Jr.; 2 brother-in-laws Johnny Hensley and Vernice Scarbro and 3 sister-in-laws Bessie Moore, Gail Payne and Linda Dawson.

Raymond was a loving father to 5 very proud children and their spouses. His blessed children are Thomas R. Moore (Pamela), Stephen R. Moore (Joy), Jeffery A Moore, Karen M. Weger (Brett) and Kathy L. Murray (Steve). He was a wonderful grandfather to 13 grandchildren, Jesse R. Weger, Jonathan D. Moore, Travis A. Weger (Beckie), Amy C. Chambers (Michael), Tara A. Moore, Chad R. Murray, Nina K. Murray, Danny C. Moore, Maria A. Moore, Thomas R. Moore, Jeffery A. Moore, Brittani Moore and Eric S. Murray. Raymond was also an adored great grandfather to Joshua R. Weger, Talon A. Weger and AdriAnne E. Weger. He is also survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Inez Scarbro, Louise Hensley, Rebecca Moore (Bobby), Elias Moore, Donald Moore, Jerry Moore, Eugene Moore (Marilyn) and Leslie Moore (Carolyn) and a very dear brother-in-law and friend Jack Dawson and his children Kevin Dawson and Mitzi Simpkins. And many more treasured nieces and nephews. Raymond made many special friends over the years, who knew him as Razor, they also will miss him greatly. He also will be missed by his loyal and loved furry friend, his special cat Lucy.
