Williams
May 3, 1952 – March 3, 2022
Raynard K. Williams was born on May 3rd, 1952 in Fernandina Beach, Florida to the late Mr. Rudolph Williams (2002) and the late Ms. Terethel Williams (2005). Raynard was the 3 rd child of this union. Raynard attended Peck High School and graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1970.
Raynard later met and married his sweetheart, Cynthia Davis and one year later they were blessed with their first born son, Marcus Williams.
In 1971, Raynard received a construction certification from a trade school in Tallahassee, Florida. After which time he returned to Fernandina as an apprentice under the tutelage of Mr. George Thompson of Thompson Construction Company. Raynard often credited his success in the construction business to Mr. Thompson.
Raynard later moved to Miami, Florida where he continued mastering his construction skills. He lived in Miami for 39 years and later moved to the Jacksonville area where he lived until his death.
Raynard had a gregarious personality and was always the life of the party. He always found ways to be the center of attention no matter where he was or who he met.
Raynard is survived by his son, Marcus F. Williams, Sr., Fernandina Beach, FL; brother, Eugene Williams, Los Angeles; CA, sister, Beverly Baake (Donald), San Diego, CA. Grandchildren: Marcus F. Williams, Jr., Michelle Williams, Marquis Williams, Noah Williams; great grandson, Damario Williams and a host of nieces and nephews.
Raynard's eldest son, Raynard Williams, Jr., preceded him in death, (2005). Two younger brothers and a sister all of whom have preceded Raynard in death are; Ronald Williams (2002), Bishop Vernon Williams (2011) and Donna McCollough (2016).
The family wishes to extend a hearty thank you to a few special people.
First , a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Cynthia Turner for the compassionate care shown over several years to our brother Raynard . Thank you and God Bless You!
Secondly , thanks to Maya Turner, the daughter Ray never had. She assisted Ray with his grocery shopping and other weekly tasks. Ray was very fond of Maya and loved her like a daughter.
S pecial thanks to Anthony (Tony) Green, Henry Dixon neighbor s ; Derrick Turner and Justin Turner good friends of Raynard .
Dear cousins of the family are , Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth and Mary Williams of Central Islip, New York .
