Obituary of Regina Dunch

Regina Lucile Galavage Dunch, 88, born February 17, 1927 in Pittston, Pennsylvania to Robert and Elizabeth Laukaitis Galavage, passed away March 12, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. Regina was known as the butterfly lady. She raised butterflies when she retired from nursing. She was a practicing Registered Nurse, a Cadet Nurse and a U.S. Navy Nurse. Regina was a Life Member of the Jacksonville Garden Club, raising many plants and flowers and received many horticulture awards. She loved to travel and visited many Catholic Shrines in Mexico, Canada and Europe. Her one delight was meeting and shaking hands with the late Pope John Paul II on a trip to Rome. Regina will be missed by the gardening community and all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering from 5 PM-7 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the funeral home with a Celebration of Life 1 PM, Friday, March 20, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home with Fr. Thanh Nguyen officiating.
