Renee Jovita Dillard-Holmes en tered this world on October 27, 1953 to Charles and Alice Di llard in New Port News, Virgin ia.
She honorably served 12 years in the US Navy and achieved the rank of ET1 (E6).  After meeting the love of her life Alvin Holmes in Diego Garcia BIOT (British Indian Ocean Territory) they married on October 27, 1990.
Influenced by extensive family ties to the United Methodist Church, Renee came to know the Lord as her Savior.  Renee was welcomed into heaven by many family and friends on June 17, 2020.
Renee was very big on family. This family is so big it woul d be impossible to mention us all.  Let me just say, it cros ses racial and ethnic
boundari es.  It extends from New Jersey, through Ohio, Illinois , Wisconsin, Washington State, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Texas to California. Please know that this is the most loving family you could ask for.  This tiny lady's influence stretched around the world.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11 AM to service time 12 AM in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32211 with Pastor Sean Brewster officiating.  A committal service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road,Jacksonville, FL 32218, where Military Honors will be rendered.
