Rita Marie Kiefer, 86, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Keystone Heights, Florida. She was born May 6, 1932 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Joseph Violette and Stella Violette (Lovesque).

Rita loved to cook. She spent 13 years preparing meals for the children at the Arlington Country Day School where she was adored by all.  In her free time, she loved to bowl and play bingo at the Keystone Heights Senior Center.

Rita is survived by her daughters; Rose Marie Jones, Margie Sullivan, and Vicky Jonson. Siblings; Jeanette, Freddie, Pauly, Leo, Geanie, Yvette and Marianne.  Grandchildren; Ronnie Rousseau, Buffy Rousseau, Bobbie McMillan, Michelle Creamer, Suzy Creamer, Raymond Creamer Jr , Tammy Faye , Jamie Mullis, Bryan Taylor, Ashley Erwin, Nichole Davis, and Michael Kiefer.  Rita is also survived by several great-grandchildren and  her bestest girlfriend for over 50 years Ursla Carr aka Yulee.

She's preceded by her parents; husband, Edward Kiefer; sons, Eddie Jr and Joey Kiefer; brother Norman Violette, and sister Irene Violette.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 at 11 a.m., at the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida with Pastor Jimmy McMillan officiating.  Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 prior to the funeral service.  Interment will follow in the Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL.
