Obituary of Rita Lyons

Rita Alberta Lyons, 84, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a caring friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Lyons. She is survived by her six children Diane (Jim) Lowry, Barbara (Emil) Handzel, Vicky (Jim) Badger, Jim (Debbie) Girard, Joanne Melanson, and Debbie (Craig) Jerman; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Parkwood Baptist Church, 7900 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211-6096, (904) 725-2500, for a Memorial Service on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
