Robert Joe Lawson passed away on July 7, 2024 at home on his property that he loved so much in Callahan, Florida.

Robert was a beloved husband, father and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Robert was a man who could "fix" anything and was known for his hard work, dedication and passion for helping others.

More than anything, Robert loved his family. He was a devoted husband for more than 70 years to his loving wife Peggy Lou Lawson. He was a tremendous father to his children, Shula Vonette Garver and Danny Joe Lawson (Linda). He was always there to offer guidance, support and encouragement no matter the challenges or sacrifices it took.

Robert was also a strong role model and there to support his four grandsons, Jason A. Garver (Kris), Bradley J. Garver (Roberta), Mark L. Garver (Kayla) and Brett J. Lawson (Brittany). He was also so excited when he got to meet his only great granddaughter, Brooke H. Lawson.

Visitation on July 15th from 11a -12n at Arlington Park Funeral Home with a service at 12n. In recognition to his naval service, Robert will be buried at the National Cemetery on July 15, 2024 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, Nassau County, Florida.
