IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Oliver
Leddy
February 17, 1936 – December 22, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing away of Robert (Bob) O. Leddy, Sr., who passed peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, Florida on December 22, 2025, just short of his 90th birthday. Bob was born in Charleston, South Carolina, where he loved to return for family visits. He retired an Asbestos Insulator of 50 years, and was a dedicated member of Union Local 13. Even after retirement, Bob looked forward to weekly card games with friends and family at the Local 13 Union hall.
An avid sportsman, Bobby, as many knew him, excelled in swimming, diving, boxing, basketball and baseball but his first love was softball, although golf became a close second after retirement. He played both games religiously (and competitively!) into his 70's.
Bob Leddy enjoyed life. Weekends were filled with playing ball, fishing, beach days and "garage-sale-ing". He always looked for an opportunity to clown around or tell a story to make others laugh. Bob loved his family and enjoyed being a grandpa (Papa) immensely.
Preceded in death by his son, Robert (Bobby) O. Leddy, Jr.; brothers, Peter Leddy, Timothy Leddy & Patrick Leddy & sister Mary Theresa Mims.
Leaving behind his loving family, wife, Eva Leddy, daughters, Kathleen White and Candy Harvison; sons in law, Keith White and Patrick Harvison; grandchildren, Keaton White, Trinity Harvison, Christian Harvison, Alicia White and Ireland Harvison; sisters and brothers in law, Evelyn Leddy, Terry Dykes, Lisa Ross (Dewaine Ross), Doug Beauchamp (Delores Beauchamp), John Conger and many nieces and nephews
Join us for a time to honor Bob and play ball!
