Obituary of Robert Turvey

Robert C. Turvey, 73, passed away April 1, 2008 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on August 29, 1934. Bob served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired with the United States Postal Service as Post Master in Benwood, West Virginia. He was a member of Martins Ferry Blue Lodge Masons, Valley of Steubenville, Royal Arch Masons, Scottish Rite and the Sirus Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Wilda Louise Turvey; stepson, William E. Tippett; his mother, Ruth Lazlo; his sister, Okel Tipton; granddaughters, Kari Tippett and Jenifer Tippett, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. The family will greet friends from 12:00-2:00p.m. prior to the service.
