Zipperer, Roberta Christine

Roberta Christine Zipperer, 59, passed away October 17, 2014 after a brief and unexpected illness. Born in Milwaukee, Roberta moved to Jacksonville at the age of 7, where she lived until her death. Roberta is survived by her loving daughter Ashley Zipperer and Ashley's Father John Zipperer, her loving sister, Sandra Moberg (Fred); niece, Melissa (Tim), great niece Giovanna Marie, nephew Matt (Lindsay), Aunt Jacqueline, Aunt Lula, cousins Stephen, Ricky, Glenn (Regina), Marguerite (Kurt), Anton, Alicia, Nora, cousin Lucretia (Michael) and Astrid. Roberta was a parishioner at Assumption Catholic Church and a lifelong Humanitarian who dedicated her life fighting for the children and families of North Florida. Her spirit and passion was infectious and she left us all better equipped to continue being the voice for those Families who need our help.

Whether it was planning an event for "her kids" or a wedding shower for a friend, Roberta was meticulous and unwavering in her support, she will be missed by many. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.) at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Boulevard with Father Fred Parke, and interment at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the Family Support Services of North Florida, Angel Tree Project. Your donation, celebrating her life and supporting a project close to Roberta's heart, will ensure that every child in Foster Care receives a gift for the holidays.
