Obituary of Roger Holton

Roger E. Holton, Jr., age 39, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2009. Roger graduated from Ed White High School and attended the University of North Florida. He is survived by his parents Roger and Jean Holton, brother Russell Holton, long time companion Samantha Reid and nephew and niece Cody and Kayla Holton.

Roger was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and spent most of his working career in the trucking industry. He was an avid Gator fan and loved seeing the beautiful sights as he traveled across the country. Roger was a loving son, brother, companion, uncle and friend to all that knew him. We will miss his sometimes cantankerous ways but even more we will miss the love and caring he had for all of us.

The family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation Friday, January 30, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the parlor and a funeral service on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
