Obituary

Ronald Neil Hallman Sr. was born on August 27, 1936, to Mr. Cecil Clyde and Mrs. Ada Hallman of Glennville, Georgia (Tattnall County).

In 1958 he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida with his beloved wife of 66 years. Moving to Florida allowed him to escape the farm life of Georgia where he picked tobacco.

Ronald was raised in a family in which the Lord was revered and worshipped. He was very well known as the "Popcorn Man". After loving his family, Ronald loved traveling to Georgia, going fishing, and loved finding a bargain, especially a good deal on golf clubs at local flea markets. After working tirelessly as the owner of Ron's Golf, Ronald spent time unwinding at The Broken Spoke and World-Famous Bull Tavern

On Saturday night, June 15, 2024, Ronald Neil Hallman Sr. peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sibling and one daughter.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his wife, Sonja Hallman; two sons, three grandchildren, his brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
