Ronald Douglas McNatt, Sr. passed away peacefully beside his wife, Song Ye McNatt in their home in Jacksonville, Florida on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on September 4, 1950, in Camden, South Carolina.  He was a beloved husband to Song Ye, father to Penny McNatt Devine and Ron McNatt, Jr. (and his bonus canine child, Smokey), grandfather to Sarah Adams, Micah McNatt, Jared Devine, Hannah McNatt, Josiah Devine, and Karah McNatt, great grandfather to Amelia Adams, and brother to Fred, Richard, Larry, Barbara and Steve.

Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving 11 years before returning to Jacksonville, Florida to begin a career of entrepreneurship. He founded and developed several businesses, including McNatt Beauty Supply and American Home Oxygen.

Though he was well-loved for his kindness and generosity in the Jacksonville community, Ron's greatest motivation was his love for his family. He spent almost fifty-six years with his wife, Song Ye, his partner in life and often work. His favorite pastimes always included his family, whether it was Yahtzee with the kids or poker with his siblings.

He was a dreamer and a self-made man. He was known for his strength, intelligence, work ethic, loyalty, humor, and huge heart.

A family visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Arlington Park Funeral Home at 6920 Lone Star Road. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12:00  p.m. at the funeral home.
