It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Brinson, who peacefully departed this world on January 25, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on November 19, 1939, in Orlando, Florida, and her legacy will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Although Rose Marie hailed from Orlando, she spent the majority of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, where she lovingly raised her family. Her professional journey led her to become a Treasury Analyst at Prudential Life, where her dedication and hard work spanned over three decades before retiring.
After retiring, Rose Marie embraced a life of adventure and family. She shared countless memorable moments traveling the world with her beloved husband, Joseph "Bud" Brinson. Her heart overflowed with joy when she spent quality time with her three cherished daughters: Janice (Barry) Blanton, Linda (Ken) Bamberger, and Teresa Moore (William Deen). Rose Marie also took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, with six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who brought endless light and happiness to her life.
Rose Marie had a passion for gardening, a love for her church, and treasured the moments she spent with her sister, Jeannette, visiting mutual friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Bud" Brinson, her brother, Jerry Clapper, her sister, Jeanette Herrington, her mother, Gladys Clapper, and her father, Clarence Clapper.
To honor her memory, a funeral service will be held on January 31, 2025, at Arlington Park Funeral Home, located at 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211. Visitation will commence at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Rose Marie Brinson will forever remain in our hearts, her legacy woven into the fabric of our lives. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
