Obituary of Rose Phipps-Turner

Rose Belle Phipps Turner 1927-2012 passed away on Tuesday, February 14th. She is survived by her children, Charles Converse, William Thomas Turner, Elizabeth Turner-Bergman, David Turner and Susan Turner-Terrell and her sister, Joyce Phipps Zeigler of Mount Holly, NC. Rose was married to the late William Henry Turner for 60 years. Rose was originally from North Carolina and took pride in being a business woman. She managed a string of tourist cabins in the 1950's. She was well known throughout Jacksonville for her managing, teaching and driving of buses for Duval County Schools. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of North Florida in her name. A private memorial service will be held in the family home. We, her children and family celebrate the achievements and impact of this special person.
