Obituary of Roy Grant

Roy Daniel Grant, Father, was escorted home by angles on June 8, 2007 after a long illness and stay at Heartland Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 16, 1928 and lived most of his life in Key West, Florida. He resided in Jacksonville, Florida for the past seven years. He served as Deacon at Second Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Grant was a member of the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Electrician after 21 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Claudina Grant, son, Calvin E. Grant of Texarkana, Texas and daughter, Georgina Babilonia of Jacksonville, Florida. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; Robinne R. Grant, Calvin E. Grant, Jr., Jeffrey Grant and Michael Grant, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11:00am in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road.
