Russell Lowell Belcher ascended to heaven on December 13, 2022 at the age of 94. He was a 70 year resident of Jacksonville and of Hidden Hills since 1989. He was the husband of Shirley T. Belcher for almost 68 years until she went to heaven in 2020. Russell was the son of Clarence & Edna Belcher of Lego, West Virginia and the brother of Gene, Bob, Dean, Jimmy, Larry, MaryAnn and Charlie. His children are Sandra Stone (Lewis), Rusty (Kathi), Alan (Pam) and Scott. His grandchildren are Alice, Drew, Lauren, Jonathan, Allison, Matthew, Sam & Keith. He has 11 great-grandchildren. He was a decorated Korean War U.S. Army veteran. Russ was a graduate of Jones College and had long career at Burgman Supply Company as clerk, salesman and General Manager. He left to found BelTrac, Inc. in 1976 which was a distributor of replacement parts for crawler drive heavy construction equipment. Russell was a Past President of A.I.D., a national association of independent parts distributors. He was a 50 year member of Arlington United Methodist Church and Hidden Hills Country Club where he had 2 holes-in-one! Russ was a founding member of JU Century Club Boosters and of University Park Country Club. Russ was an avid sports fan who was a Gator Booster, Dolphins Booster, TPC Marshall, Tampa Bay Bucs ticket holder from the 1st season, Tampa Bay Rays fan and took his kids to baseball (Atlanta Braves & Jax AAA), hockey, and  football games.

Russell Belcher's celebration of life will be held on January 7, 2023 , 1:00PM, at Arlington United Methodist Church, Rev. Dr. Arlinda Burks, Pastor, 1400 University Blvd., North, Jacksonville.

Russell will be interred next to Shirley at Arlington Park Cemetery. Amen
