Obituary of Ruth Herber
Ms. Ruth Herber, 90, entered into rest on March 3, 2011. She was born on December 25, 1920 to the late; Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Edith Roseberry in Sierra Leone West Africa. She retired from an active missionary role with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in West Africa after over 40 years of service. She and her surviving husband, Ralph Herber, helped to spread the word of God to the Senoufo and Gana people groups of West Africa. Their ministries included church growth, health and educational services. Together, they assisted in the translation of the New Testament into the Senoufo/Supyira language. Survivors include her son, Robert W. Herber and wife Rebecca of Bruceton Mills, WV; daughter, Sharon R. Worth and her husband Philip G. of Jacksonville, FL; son, R. Edward Herber of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Patricia A. Combs and her husband Kevin A. of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters, Wende S. Hageman and husband Daniel of Columbus, OH, Jenifer R. Felt and husband Douglas of Wheaton, MD, Jamie M. Bowlds and husband Mark, Teri A. Lightbody, and Lisa Neeld; grandson, Benjamin A. Ferm all of Jacksonville, FL. Flowers are welcome.
