Obituary of Ruthie Martin

Ruthie May Martin, 78, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Ruthie is preceded in death by her son John C. Martin III. She is in the Women's Bowling Hall of Fame and was part of the Women's Bowling Association for 45 years. Ruthie is survived by her loving husband John C. Martin of 61 wonderful years; four beautiful daughters Marie A. Martin, Ruthie M. (Dan) Sharp, Patricia A. (Ted) McCormick, Sharron L. (Billy Sander) Martin; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. and a funeral service on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family request you make donations to Hospice of Northeast Florida or a charity of your choice.
