Obituary of Sally Ann Dorsey Heykens

Sally Ann Dorsey Heykens, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on July 24, 2007. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 3, 1936 and moved to Jacksonville in 1951. Sally retired from Allstate Insurance Company where she was in management. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church since its founding. Sally was very active in her church and the DCCW. She was also a dedicated and loyal fan of the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Heykens in 2005. Sally is survived by her children; Steve Heykens, Robyn Matthews, Leeann (Todd) Bradshaw, Nancy (Bob) Motherway and Mike (Karen) Heykens; grandchildren, Tina, Lisa, Eric, Maranda, Taylor, Olivia, David, Meagan and Jin Jin; a sister Nancy Jo Vining and a brother James P. Dorsey of Vermont. On July 27th, family will greet friends from 6-8:00pm with a rosary service held at 7pm at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 University Blvd. North. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 28th at the church, with interment to follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Resurrection Catholic Church.
