Sharon Rita Barton, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on March 19, 1946, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Sharon was the cherished daughter of the late Ernest and Marie Eva White.
Sharon's life was marked by her vibrant spirit and unwavering independence. She was known for her infectious laughter and boundless love, always ready to share her truth with those around her. Her favorite saying, "love you more," will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A dedicated professional, Sharon worked for many years with Flood Engineers and Nemours, where she made lasting contributions. Her commitment extended beyond her career, as she was a long-time patron of Resurrection Catholic Church, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment.
Sharon is survived by her loving siblings; Edward and Thong White of Groton, Connecticut; Barbara and Neil Carignan of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and Virginia and Stephen Blackman of Thomaston, Maine. She leaves behind her devoted children, Michelle and Job Snyder, Briane and Carol Barton, both residing in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kenneth Hardy III, Emilie and Dean Diakogiannis of Georgia; Ashley and Nick Cox, Heather and Richard Astatkie of Jacksonville, Florida. Sharon was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
Sharon's memory will be cherished by her family and friends, who will forever hold her in their hearts. She was a testament to faith, love, laughter, and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
