Obituary of Shelby Driggers

Shelby Jean Driggers, age 73, passed away peacefully Monday March 31, 2015. She was born March 27, 1942 in Bristol, Virginia to Dana and Gladys Newberry. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Brother Danny Ray Newberry and Sister Nancy Rose Hine. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Wayne Driggers; brothers: Jerry Newberry and Garry Newberry; sister: Laura Helen Short. Shelby will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends. She was a member of South East Baptist Church of Jacksonville who enjoyed boating and fishing, watching TV and puzzles. Shelby loved talking on the phone with family and friends and will be particularly missed by her two special friends "Blackie and "Little Kitty'.

The family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering from 10A.M. to 11A.M., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow beginning at 11A.M., Pastor Thomas Partride and Chaplin Debby Allen officiating. The interment will be Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in New Brockton, Alabama at a later date.
