Shelby Denee Samuels was born on March 16, 1972 in Louisville, Ky. To Fred and Stephany Samuels. She was a 1990 graduate of Eastern High School and furtherd her education  at Roy's Beauty College and received her Certification in 1992. Shelby relocated to Jacksonville, Fl. in 1993 and worked many years in the Mortgage field. She later started working from home and enrolled her Sons in the Virtual Home School  Program.

Shelby was an avid reader and loved to work crossword puzzles and watch CNN and MSNBC.

She was preceded in death by Mother Stephany Jean Samuels and  leaves to cherish her memory 3 sons Tyler, Roderick and namesake Shelby, parents Fred and Helen Samuels, all of Jacksonville and brother Sheldon Samuels and niece Shanda of Louisville, Ky, and longtime soul mate  Rod Daniel.

A memorial service of remembrance will be held at noon on Friday December 7, 2018 at New Birth Community Church, 5919 Merrill Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32277. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida (904) 724-6384.
