Obituary of Sherri Watkins

Sherri Watkins, 47

Sherri Watkins, 47, died October 9, 2015.

Sherri was born May 29, 1968, in Jacksonville, Florida to Carolyn (Stephens) Steptoe and Doug Holland.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, niece, aunt, sister and friend. She had an infectious smile and eyes that sparkled like the stars on the clearest night. She extended her huge heart out to many and always tried to make those who surrounded her feel special. She was a free spirit with a gentle nature. She left the world being loved by many.

Sherri is survived by her two daughters, Heather Sonnenberg and Alisha Watkins; one son, George King Jr.; four grandchildren, Trey Rivers, Karlie Rivers, Elias Sonnenberg and Sophia Sonnenberg; two brothers, Roy Adair and Mike Stephens.

Special thanks to Jeff Sherlin and Janet Galloway. Jeff stayed by her side every day and night through the worst of the illness. She was never alone and through each second of this surrounded by someone she loved and who loved her. Janet remained a rock for Sherri and the rest of her family. She dealt with all the vital and difficult decisions with grace and strength.

On Saturday, October 24, 2015 the funeral will be held at Arlington Park Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.
