Obituary

Shirley B. Vause, 79, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Friday the 19th of March 2021 in Fernandina Beach, FL. Shirley was born in Folkston, Georgia to Edwin and Elinore Braddock, on June 15th , 1941. She attended Fletcher Highschool in Jacksonville Beach, FL. On June 20th, 1959, Shirley married the love of her life, William (Bill) P. Vause, also in Jacksonville Beach. She worked as an Accounting Manager for Southern Bell for 30 years. She was also involved in the Girl Scouts of America as a troop leader and was heavily involved in the church at Englewood Christian Church.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her mother Elinore, her father Edwin and her sister Faye. Shirley is survived by her daughter Vicki (Fred) Harris; her sister, Lynn Taylor; her grandson, Michael (Teoline) Cuajunco; and her granddaughter, Heather Harris.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday the 25th of March, 2021, in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, with her funeral service to follow at 12:45 PM, with Minister Pete Ramsey of Englewood Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.

The family of Shirley wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach.
