Obituary of Stephen Waldrop

Stephen Dale Waldrop passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family members, on the night of November 21, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Southside in Jacksonville, Florida. He was 53 years old.

Born on July 26, 1962, in Pembroke, Kentucky to James and Mary (Hyams) Waldrop and resided there until he joined the United States Navy in 1984. He was a graduate of the 1980 class of Hopkinsville High in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He also earned his Bachelor's Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He married his wife, Viviana (Acerra) Waldrop in 1991. He was discharged honorably from the United States Navy as a CWO3 in 2010.

He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend. Stephen Dale was preceded in death by his parents; James and Mary (Hyams) Waldrop. He is survived by his wife, Viviana (Acerra) Waldrop, his three children; Andrew Shane Waldrop (from a previous marriage), Sara Nicole Waldrop, and Anthony James Waldrop, his three siblings; Wayne Waldrop, Wanda Perry, and Sandie (Ronnie) Jeffers, his only grandson, Sebastian Andrew Waldrop, and his many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for Stephen will be held on Saturday, November 28th, 2015 at 1:30pm graveside in the Arlington Memorial Park cemetery's military garden. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Arlington Park Funeral Home.
