George Steven Hawkins, 54, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at home on December 20, 2020. Son of George Harvey and Jane (Markle) Hawkins, Steve graduated from Sandalwood High School in 1984. He attended a union-sponsored trade school and worked as an electrician his entire career.

An Eagle Scout, and a paratrooper with the Green Berets, Steve was active in the National Guard for five years. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing guitar in rock bands, as well as writing and recording original music with his longtime friends.

Steve is survived by both parents, his siblings: Christina Hawkins, Patricia Gavanditti, Joanna (Thomas) Kane, Diana (Adrian) Davidson, Robert (Courtney) Hawkins, and several nieces and nephews.

A private grave-side dedication will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of gifts and flowers, we ask for donations to be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society, to celebrate Steve's deep love of animals. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Arlington Park Funeral Home.
