Obituary of Steven Hayes

Steven Richard Hayes, 59, passed away January 31, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Steve worked with Stenner Pumps for the past 20 years and it was a job he truly loved. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Artina and Richard Hayes and his brother Bobby Hayes. Steve leaves many to cherish his memory including his loving wife of 25 years, Cheryl Smith Hayes; son Graham Hayes (Julie); sister Connie Dodd (Thomas); grandson Myles Hayes; stepson Jason Chachos; mother-in-law Johnnie C. Smith; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Tom Thibadeau; best friend Curt Chesnutt and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home. Rev. Allan Purtill of Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, North Carolina will be officiating.
