Obituary of Sylvia McGavic

Sylvia McGavic, 48, passed away November 6, 2009 at home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. She was born February 21, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of the late Gisela and Siegmund Mayerlen. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 29 years, David A. McGavic; son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Rachel McGavic; daughter and son-in-law Cara and Christopher Myers; grandson Camden and a host of family and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10am at Arlington Park Cemeter. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Kidney Cancer Association (kidneycancer.org) or Heartland Hospice (heartlandhospicefund.org).
