It is with great sadness we share, Tanya (Cissy) Eileen Iwanowski, passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2025, at the young age of 60, in her home in Citrus Springs, Florida. She has left a void the family will never be able to fill. Cissy will be deeply missed.

Cissy was born in Norfolk, Virgina on September, 28, 1964 to Louisa M. Heller and Bobby Allen Mathews. She assumed the mother role in her family at a very young age, raising her siblings, Marvin Mathews, Moira Mason Hagene, and Dwayne Stephen Mathews Heller (Boogie).

Cissy met her husband, Victor Iwanowksi, when she was only 15 years old and they have been together for 45 years. Together they raised three beautiful children, Brian Iwanowski, Debora VanNostern, and Amy Iwanowski. Debora is married to Matt VanNostern and they have two children Eli Hardy and Annabell VanNostern. Cissy was a devoted mother, putting the needs of her family first, always. That devotion was even stronger with the grandchildren. Although Cissy didn't get to spend a lot of time with Annabell, she was always taking Eli to the beach or lake and even garage saleing. Eli loved his grandma and they were tied at the hip.

Cissy was known for being a great cook. She delighted in preparing tasty food to share with her family and friends. Cissy and her husband grew a lot of the vegetables used in her delicious creations. In addition, Cissy grew a lot of beautiful flowering plants.

The services will be held at 10am on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at Arlington Park Funeral Home located at 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.

In lieu of flowers Cissy would LOVE it if you spent that money doing something special with your family.
