Ted T. Newman, Jr., born May 16, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ted T. Newman, Sr. and Emma S. Newman, passed away April 25, 2017 in Kissimmee, Florida.

Ted served his country with pride in the United States Marine Corps from 1945-1949. Ted retired from JEA and as a federal employee of the Naval Air Station. He was a member of the National Woodcarvers Association.

He was preceded in death by both parents; his wife of 37 years, Dorothy Rita Ondrejcak Newman on July 15, 1985. He was remarried in 1987 for 27 years to Ellen Ross Newman until her death on October 8, 2014.
He is survived by daughter, Phyllis Newman Saxon (Jerry); son, Robert M. Newman (Jennifer); Stepsons, William Ross (Julia), Thomas Ross (Regina); grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He enjoyed life to the fullest with family and friends.

The Newman family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering from 11AM-1PM, Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Chapel of the funeral home with a Christian Mass to begin 1PM, with Father James R. Boddie, Jr. officiating. The United States Marine Corps will render military honors to acknowledge Mr. Newman's service to a grateful nation. A Celebration Reception will immediately follow in the Family Gathering Room adjacent to the chapel.
