Obituary of Theodore Clark

Clark Sr., Theodore Arthur (T.A.), 90, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2009 surrounded by loved ones. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He served the Lord through the years as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. He was an avid gardener, served in WWII, and retired from the Postal Service. He was a Master Mason and a descendant of the second Worshipful Master of Ezra Lodge #67 who settled this area 50 years before T.A.'s birth. His family lived in the area since the 1700's. He was also a past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife Vera of 38 years, 1 sister Elsie Tison, 8 children: Shirley Taylor, Ted Jr. (Barbara) Clark, Eugene (Frances) Clark, Barbara Manning, Annette (Tommy) Peake, Jacqueline (Johnny) Hales, Yvonne (Pete) Dwinnell, Michael (Lorrie) Lane, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Viewing: Monday, January 5, 2009 from 5 - 7 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 904-724-6384. Funeral services: January 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Hogan Baptist Church.
