Obituary of Theodore Wood

T. Wallace Wood, 79 years was born on May 6, 1932 in Jacksonville Florida. He graduated from Lee High School in 1951 and attended Jacksonville University. He proudly served in the Naval Air Reserves for over 10 yrs. He was a Master Mason and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. He was a long time member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church located on Lone Star Rd. He retired from the Duval County School Board after 35years of service. He later served as Division Chief of Public buildings before retiring again from the City Of Jacksonville in 1997. He was owner of C. W. Wood Plumbing which was started by his oldest son, Wayne Wood. He will be remembered as a man of faith, courage and determination, a devoted husband, father and trusted friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alcye Lord-Wood; his two sons, Scott and Marcus; his daughter, Cindy (Kent) Haines; his brother Mike (Jackie) Wood; his grand children, Matthew and Reid Wood, Alisha Hackney and Beth Haines. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Kasraeian, Dr. Dizon, Dr. Mansur and the rest of the Memorial Hospital, The Atrium and Hospice that attended to him and our family over the past 3 years. Family members will receive guests on Tue, 5-10-11 from 6-8 pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home located at 6920 Lone Star Rd. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11am; 5-11-11 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church located 7801 Lone Star Rd. Interment will follow immediately at Arlington Park Cemetery
