Obituary of Thomas Gill
Mr. Thomas A. Gill passed away after a lengthy illness on June 30, 2014 at the age of 87. Mr. Gill was a native of Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana and honorably served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida for almost 47 years. His favorite pastimes included fishing, gardening, playing with his pets, and the LSU Tigers football. Mr. Gill was a great patriot with a strong love of God and his country. His survivors include his wonderful wife of 66 beautiful years, Mrs. Dixie Gill, who was his devoted care giver during his illness; daughters, Charlotte Gill and Sharon Gill Kaiser, son-in-law Joseph Kaiser; and his beloved granddaughter, Alexandra Kaiser.
Snaps, his faithful companion and best friend that he had to leave to go to war, is wagging his tail that hardest at the Rainbow Bridge now that they have been reunited. The family would like to express special appreciation for the kindness, compassion and professionalism of Hospice of Northeast Florida. Toby, your suffering is finally over It is those of us you left behind who will feel the sadness and heavy hearts until we meet again.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00PM at Arlington Park, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211
