Thomas Edward Griffin Sr. passed away early Friday morning, August 9th, 2024 from the results of a traffic accident in Jacksonville, Florida. Thomas was born October 2nd, 1939 in Gastonia North Carolina. He was raised in Lutheran Children's Home of the south in Salem, VA and maintained relationships with his brothers throughout the years. He is survived by his Orphanage brother Noah Foley.

Thomas Griffin Sr. is survived by his Sons Raymond Griffin (Teresa Griffin) and Thomas Griffin (Melinda Griffin), His brother Haskell Griffin and Sister Audrey Avant, and preceded in death by Sister Louis Griffin and brother Jessie Griffin;
Thomas has 4 step Children Kimberly Ann Passie (Louie Passie), Jake Davidson 3rd, Mark Anthony Davidson, and preceded in death by 1 Allen Keith Jones. Thomas Griffin was a proud and involved grandfather of 14 Grand Children, and 15 great grandchildren!

Griffin loved the outdoors including boating and fishing, he loved his little dog Cocoa and spending time with his kids and grandkids telling them stories of his life and all the things he had experienced throughout it. He was the foundation of the family and will be greatly missed by all.
