Thomas William Hervey, 81, passed away peacefully at home August 3, 2021. He was born February 23, 1940, in Steubenville, OH, the son of Jay and Grace (Ramsey) Hervey.

Tom served with the U.S. Army (E4-Helicopter Mechanic) for 3 years and graduated from WVNCC with an Associates in Arts. He married Barbara Ann Koper. They eventually settled in New Martinsville, WV, and, in 1981, relocated to Jacksonville. They celebrated 57 years of marriage in May. During his career, Tom was a manager at several credit unions (Ormet in Hannibal, OH and Independent Life in Jacksonville). Tom was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for over 50 years, and Jaycees. He volunteered at the Gator Bowl Association and sang in the choir at Resurrection Catholic Church for several years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mayrie and a brother, Jim. He will be missed by his wife, Barbara (Koper) Hervey; his son, Bob Hervey and his wife, Ellen; his son Scott Hervey and his wife, Luly; 6 grandchildren, Brett, Connor, Madison, Benjamin, Dominic and Ana; and many other family members and countless friends.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice for their care and compassion. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 14 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville to be followed by a reception.
