Obituary of Thomas Mccargo

Thomas Maurice McCargo, 92, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted uncle, great-uncle and caring friend to all who knew him. Thomas is preceded in death by his loving wife Catherine McCargo. He was a proud United States Army World War II Veteran, who was the last survivor of the 129 artillery group that served at Normandy. Thomas retired from the United States Post Office after 28 years. He was a proud gator fan and a life time member of Springfield Presbyterian Church and Arlington Presbyterian Church. Thomas is survived by his three nieces Nancy (John) Balestrini, Barbara (James) Allen and Ann Hancock; nephew Steven McCaffrey; along with two great nephews and one great niece. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 and a funeral service to follow the same day at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Community Hospice.
