Obituary

Tony Gagarin, 86, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024.  He was born on December 21, 1937, in the City of Candon, Philippines, to parents Angel and Anaceta.

Tony enlisted in the US Navy in October 1963 and fought in the Vietnam War.  After retiring from the military, he went on to work and retire from the US Postal Service.  Later on, he would serve as an ambassador at Jacksonville International Airport.

Tony was a loving husband and father.  He was a devout Catholic regularly attending mass at Assumption Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Erlinda; three sons, Yurigene (Teresita), Jerry (Wendy) and Gale (Chantell); five grandchildren (Evan, Lloyd, Kristyrae, Cacique and Aila) and great-granddaughter (Cirilla).

A Celebration of Life will take place Monday, November 4th, 2024 @11:00 AM at Assumption Catholic Church followed by a graveside service Friday, December 6th, 2024 @11:00 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
