Obituary

Tracy Lynn Hicks Scarboro was born on March 15, 1967 in Jacksonville, Florida to her mother Joan Cameron Hicks. Tracy was a devoted wife to her husband B.J. (Billy Joe).
They had a soul mate love and union for 34 years. Out of this relationship, which was a love most only dream of, came Kenny Scarboro. Tracy's son, which of course, was a love only a mom, has for her son. You could always see the love in her eyes. Then 5 years later she got her surprise miracle, a little girl, Stevie Marie, a daughter. There is no bond like a mom and her little girl, a love that lasts forever. David Michael was her first born, he went to heaven first to wait on and greet his mom, so that she is not alone. I know he is now in her arms, her first born. Then came Landon Hicks, her nephew, she said he was the perfect kid cause she let Kelly have him at night and on week-ends. There was a very special love between these two. Kelly Hicks, her sister, was loved here like only a sister can love. They had a bond that I was scared of sometimes. I never knew what was coming next. Thank God, they had that love that only sisters have. Tracy's Aunt Tic (Carolyn Pendergrass) who as Tracy told me, never did anything wrong and we should always listen to her, cause she is Aunt Tic. Kathie Decicco was her cousin, but was like her sister-mom, her partner in crime. Tracy admired her Aunt Nancy with a lot of love, and she wanted her clothes. Tracy was very lucky to have been raised with her cousins, Ricky Hall and Eric Decicco. It was like she had little brothers, that Kathy and Ralph blessed us with. Thank God for my boys, they have been a strong leaning post many times. Her cousin Bobby Riley, who she thought was great and she always remembered with love. Tracy's cousins and their families were loved by her. Ricky and Shelia Hall and their children, Camie and Cayla Clayton. Eric and Aaron Decicco with their daughter Katalyn. Bobby and Leah Riley (Taylor Riley). Tracy is also survived by her mother-in-law, Memie Yandles and two sister-in-laws, Phyllis Holtclaw and Francis Taylor, and a brother-in-law David Scarboro, all of them from Tennessee. There are so many friends, how blessed she was that most are life-long, that is a gift. And, there are Tracy's best kids, her beloved cats, Indy, Dibbs and Chronic.
Tracy was a free spirit with an old soul. She gave love and devotion to her husband, children and family, like only a real and true God given miracle could. I knew the second that she was put into my arms at her birth, that she changed my life and the world.
Thank you, Tracy for giving everyone the gift of you. Thank you for being my little girl. I just wish you had stayed longer. Tracy left on April 8, 2016 after a short battle with the flu and pneumonia. This earth is not as good as it was.
